Harry Brocklehurst and his mum

Harry Brocklehurst’s Story

Harry was 11 months old and has always slept amazing, one evening he kept waking up being upset, I went into his room in the middle of the night and he was having a seizure, we called 999 who did not sent an ambulance, we took him straight to a&e who were incredible, and admitted us to be monitored, over the next 6 days he had 14 tonic clonics (Harry can contracted hpv6, and had encephalitis) which caused him to develop epilepsy.

Harry has been on Keppra from 11 months, and his epilepsy is relatively well controlled (only a further 2 seizures in nearly 2 years since) Harry has been diagnosed as having generalised epilepsy with tonic clonic and myoclonic seizures.

Harry's life is relatively seizure-free thanks to Keppra

He is the happiest and strongest little boy I know, always smiling and giving everyone cuddles ???? whenever we have needed the nhs our local hospital Kings Mill, Nottinghamshire they have been incredible and would like to thank all the staff that have helped us.
