Lesson 3.3

First Aid After a Seizure

When the seizure has stopped:

  • Check their breathing
  • Place them in the recovery position
  • Stay with them until fully alert
  • Speak calmly and reassure them
  • Allow them to rest
  • Check for injuries

DO NOT:

  • Offer food or drink until they are fully alert
  • Leave them alone while confused or disoriented
