Get Involved!
Support Epilepsy Awareness

I need your help! Since The Voice for Epilepsy was founded in 2016, I’ve managed to run this epilepsy charity by myself (Kasam). I have since hosted several charity events and other efforts to raise funds to help achieve my mission. With your help, together, we can make a difference and promote epilepsy awareness better, and reach a wider audience!

What will your donation be used for?

Make a donation today to support our mission to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living life with epilepsy and to raise public awareness and understanding of how they feel isolated, lonely, depressed, upset and withdrawn and on occasions having suicidal thoughts.

Fundraising

Coffee morning

Coffee, tea, biscuits, and cakes make up a great coffee morning! You could do a coffee morning at home or alternatively find a local village or church hall to hold it in. Cake and bric-a-brac stands also work well at these types of events.

Dance-athon

Dance all day in a sponsored dance-athon for sponsors or donations.

Car wash

Why not offer to clean cars for a fee, or ask for a donation to your chosen charity. You could charge your friends, and family to wash their cars.

Cake sale

Everyone loves cake so why not have a cake sale? Ask everyone to make a cake and then sell them by the slice or cake.

Bingo!

Then why not organise a bingo evening? You don’t necessarily have to play for money; you could ask local businesses for prizes or if you fancy bingo.

Bike ride

Fancy getting on your bike? Why not ask friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor you.

Bag packing

Many local shops/supermarkets let charities come in and pack bags, allowing you to ask their customers for donations. Why not pop in and find out if your local shop will support you on your quest!

Auction

Why not organise an auction? This could be as part of a bigger event or on its own. Your auction could be themed, for example, sports memorabilia or celebrity related. The only limitation is your imagination!

Aerobics-athon

Why not get fit by organising an aerobics-athon? Get your family and friends involved too; it’s great to fundraise together!

Abseil

Do you have a head for heights? Why not abseil off the local tallest building or join in a group event to raise funds for your charity?

Make a Difference Card

Every personalised card or e-card you send will help support and increase the amazing amount of work The Voice For Epilepsy do. The purpose of The Voice For Epilepsy is to raise awareness of epilepsy, building a community of shared experiences giving individuals a voice to connect and feel supported.

Giving in
Memory

Giving in Memory

Donating in memory is really simple.
There are three ways to donate in memory:

Online

Making a regular gift through Direct Debit is a convenient way to support the work of The Voice For Epilepsy. You can donate any time or in a quarterly or annual basis. You can also set up a gift on monthly in memory of a loved one.

Tribute Fund

An online tribute page is a great way for friends and family to celebrate and remember someone special. You can do many things with a tribute page, including posting stories, sharing favourite pictures and memories, make a donation or use the page for events and fundraising. As everything is stored centrally everyone can access it at any time. A tribute also shows the total raised in your loved one’s name, so that everyone who has contributed can see what they have achieved.

It’s quick and easy to create a tribute page by using sites like MuchLoved and JustGiving. These websites take you through a simple step by step set-up process to create your page.

In Memory Collection

If you are organising a collection at a funeral or a memorial service, you may wish to ask friends and relatives of your loved one to make a donation to  The Voice For Epilepsy.

Epilepsy Awareness

To address the gap in public epilepsy awareness, our epilepsy charity hopes to use as many forms of media advertising to educate and raise awareness of epilepsy. We hope we can get as many of the public educated and understand what epilepsy is and what it looks like and what to do if someone is having a seizure.

We hope that people already suffering from the illness will open up and talk
about their condition and have no fear facing discrimination and isolation also
most importantly people giving incorrect first aid advice.

Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to celebrate their life. It’s a positive way to help make their memory last and to support the awareness of the Epilepsy on a National Level.
We are always particularly grateful for these donations – thank you for thinking of “The Voice For Epilepsy” and for considering donating in such a special way

Advertising options

Billboards

Billboards are located at thousands of places across the UK which can reach millions of people every day so putting a huge message will allow our charity to get a hugh message about epilepsy.
We would use this type of advertising when we would park up in a pre-determined location to provide a high impact digital billboard.
This is great when we are targeting an audience at a select location or event such an epilepsy run or handing out leaflets. The Advan gives us the ability to move quickly between locations and get the message out in a city or a town.

Bus Advertising

Bus advertising gives the charity the opportunity to talk to all road users and pedestrians – not just the bus traveller. We hope to have an unmissable epilepsy awareness campaign, driving past the public all day, every day, telling them our message about what is epilepsy and how they can help.

Train Advertising

Millions of people catch a train on a daily basis. It is a great opportunity to use this to raise epilepsy awareness.
It is one of the most effective way of reaching the public about different facts of the illness such as statistics of epilepsy, how many suffer from the condition, what to do if someone has a seizure, side effects of epilepsy, and other information as well as dispelling some myths regarding the illness.
Attention grabbing, colourful, and informative artworks will be effective way to engage people while they are on their train journey.

Ad-Walkers

Adwalkers can distribute leaflets, and advice about epilepsy and also just give plain directions to the public.
Great for targeting highly visited sites such as:

Printed Media – Newspapers/Magazine

When raising the epilepsy awareness via national, local and regional newspapers, leaflets, brochures and trade and consumer magazines we are reaching a different target audience altogether where some time limits may be short and we may be targeting and engaging with the public of a specific geographic market and the public will be of a certain age group.

Radio Adverts

Radio allows our Charity campaigns to target people efficiently by:
These characteristics allow us to target audiences in the most appropriate and efficient manner to meet our campaign objectives such as Purple Day or National Epilepsy Week.

Television Promotion

We hope to have funding that will allow us to maximise the potential of television exposure. We aim to participate in TV interviews particularly those that discusses health matters or produce adverts that are hard-hitting and to the point but ensuring that we conscious of the viewer and tread carefully about what we air.

We hope to provide insights and advertising adverts that not only raises awareness of important issues such as how to deal with someone who is having an epileptic seizure but also look at ways at aiming on finding new supporters for the charity who are vital to helping us to continue with our work. We will try to get the message across to the public how their donations are making a big difference to those who have been diagnosed with epilepsy for the first time.

Merchandise

Use of branded merchandise whether for sale, or as a giveaway, can help raise funds and increase brand awareness. There are tons of merchandise to choose from such as mugs, hats, pens, masks, t-shirts, phone cases, and more! Nowadays, almost any product can be branded with a logo or any print of your choice.
