Lesson 3.6

When to Call 999

Call 999 immediately if:

  • The seizure lasts longer than 5 minutes
  • One seizure follows another without recovery
  • The person has difficulty breathing
  • The seizure occurs in water
  • The person is injured
  • The person is pregnant
  • This is their first known seizure
  • They do not return to their usual level of awareness
