This Epilepsy First Aid course has been developed to provide clear, practical guidance on recognising seizures and responding safely and appropriately.

During this 1.5-hour online training, you will learn:

  • The different types of seizures
  • What to do (and what not to do) during a seizure
  • When emergency medical assistance is required
  • How to support someone after a seizure

This course is suitable for anyone who may encounter someone experiencing a seizure in the workplace, community, education setting, or home environment.

No prior medical training is required.

This course provides general first aid guidance for responding to seizures and is intended for educational purposes only.

It does not replace formal first aid training, professional healthcare qualifications, or clinical judgement.

This course does not authorise learners to administer prescription-only medication unless they are appropriately trained and permitted to do so within their professional role.
